Privacy Policy

When you register for a membership, we collect the details you enter in the form:

• full name
• email address
• phone number
• city and state
• college, branch / course and year of study
• LinkedIn profile URL, only if you voluntarily provide it
• faculty referral code, only if you use one
• payment and order information returned by our payment provider, such as order and payment identifiers, the amount paid, payment status and the receipt number issued

• to register and identify you as a member
• to process your payment and issue a receipt
• to administer your membership, including its start and expiry dates
• to communicate with you about sessions, membership and important updates
• to track referrals and calculate faculty commissions where a code was used
• to provide customer support
• to detect and prevent fraud, abuse and duplicate or invalid payments

Payments are processed by our payment provider, Razorpay. Card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, bank credentials and similar payment credentials are entered on the payment provider's checkout and are never collected or stored by Weekend Tech Club. We store only the transaction details returned to us, such as the order identifier, payment identifier, amount, currency, status and receipt number.

We share information with service providers only where it is necessary to operate the membership, principally our payment provider for processing payments, and our hosting and database infrastructure providers for running this website and storing membership records. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Weekend Tech Club does not sell your personal data.

Membership, payment and receipt records are retained for as long as needed for legitimate business, accounting, taxation, security and legal purposes. Financial records are kept even after a membership expires, because they form part of our transaction history.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. Payments are verified on our server, sensitive credentials are held only as server-side configuration, and access to membership records is restricted to authorized administrators. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

You can request access to the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or request deletion where we are not required to retain it (for example, financial and accounting records). Send such requests to the contact address below, from the email address used at registration, so we can identify you.

This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics or tracking tools. Cookies and browser storage are used only where needed for the site to function, such as keeping an administrator signed in, and the payment provider's checkout may set its own cookies while a payment is in progress.

Weekend Tech Club is intended for students and working professionals learning about technology. If you believe information about a person who cannot register on their own behalf has been shared with us, contact us and we will review it.

This policy may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page is the current version, and continued use of the website and membership after an update means you accept the updated policy.
